Don,
Nice to see the halftracks out in the woods.
I like the spot for the grease fitting.

Tom I put my zerk in about the same spot as Scott but I put mine up on top of that sleeve. and used a 90 degree fitting. Thought process was it would be more protected up top and easier to see. I'll try to get a shot of it. I had 1 pin necked down and one pin that was straight. I did have to take one pin down to the the machine shop to have them press it out.

I was going to put it on the top but it looked like the springs could hit it if they compressed all the way.  That is probably an unlikely occurrence.  From that picture it looks like there is plenty of room.  Thanks for the pictures and the help.

I put mine about 30 degrees down from the top, Not too far down that it will hit if the crab moves to the stops and not directly between the springs. Just at about the same angle as if you were trying to drill the hole with a drill without taking it apart.

Decided it was time to get my rear brakes fixed. I was prepping the halftrack to pull the track. Kind of like my transmission, hour and half later the track and rear drum is off. Now if I could find the special place I put my wheel cylinders at. :(  But I'm sure she wont go back together that fast

Don,
I found the special place! ;D They were on the nut and bolt cart on the bottom. I went over today and searched everywhere for them. Hurray!! I placed the box on the table as you enter the shop.

Well got the left wheel cylinder back in and the drum reinstalled, adjusted the turn buckle, new outside idler half, new sprocket. Steve came out and helped me install the track, didn't go too bad. Took it out for a run, what a difference! Ran really smooth.

Nice Don...do you think that's what was causing the wear problem at Tower Park?
