While on a parts expidition for the halftrack today I found something else that I want to buy so i'm putting the halftrack up forsale.
It's a 1943 White Halftrack M2
Serial no: 274803
Ord serial no: 9197
Hood no: 4024130
(Frame serial number matches the dash data plate)
Odometer reads 00255
160AX White engine
Comes with alot of new tune up parts that should get it up and running.
-New Points
-New Condensor
-New Cap, w/new dust cover
-New Rotor
-New Plug wires
-New Head gasket (It has one spark plug broke off so head needs to come off to extract)
The halftrack has no rear armor, windshield armor or doors. It's basically in cab and chassis form. What is there is very solid. Original diamond plate floors and very nice.
All front armor is intact. There is a small amount of rust on the passenger fender under the headlight mount. (Early model with fender mounted headlights.)
I belive the miles on it are original.
It was probably used as a training unit here in the US.
Looks to have original front tires on regular non combat rims. The track is in good condition. Boogie wheels are usable although one wheel is missing rubber so that one would need replaced.
What has been determined about this halftrack is it's a roller model. (Does not have roller or correct front bumper)
It does also have a PTO with the factory levers in the cab.
I was planning on restoring it as a M2A1 and will include:
Original M49 ring mount and an original M49 skate. This is for the longer pintle and has the brake.
The price is $12,500 with the ring mount and skate or $10,500 with out.
