I need to build the roller brackets and need some dimensions. What size is the roller shaft? How far is the shaft slot from the front and bottom of the bracket and how long is the slot? Thanks

I bought my brackets from al steifel, in california,as well as the arms.He had a complete repo roller and brackets for-sale but due to shipping costs, i just bought the arms and the brackets where the springs go. Somewhere i have the drawings he sent me, copied on the computer, it has all the measurements. If you give me a day or so i can find and send them to you, or if someone can post them here i will send them to them.
thanks, jeff

Thanks guys. eleanor, I don't want to go to the effort of taking the arms off the frame but I'm sure someone could use that bracket. Beerman, if you find the drawings that would be a great help, if you get them to me I will post them.

Hi Torque
Did you ever get the drawings for this mount?
Hi Eleanor,
A longshot, but is the bracket still for sale?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I was comparing the sketches above to an outline profile I recently took of the roller mounts on a scout car.
Does anyone know if there are any differences between the half track roller mounts and the M3A1 scout car roller mounts? The reason I ask is that there are some differences in the dimensions above compared to the profile I have.
Would someone be able to give me the measurements off their roller mounts as shown in the sketch I've attached? I just want to be sure on which is correct.

use jpg files in attachments. that png file causes problems.
thanks

Darryl-
It is my understanding that the scout cars and halftracks used the same bracket. The variations you found are probably due
to an ease of manufacturing of repro brackets. The repros i have found have "square" corners as opposed to rounded ones
on the originals. I would go with your dimensions of an original rather than the drawings i posted.

Hi Michael
That makes sense. I will proceed on that basis.
Thanks for that.
