KC's White M2A1
« on: November 05, 2010, 07:31:12 PM »
My halftrack obsession started at a very young age playing with my older brothers plastic Army guys. WW2 Jeeps, CCKWs and Sherman are cool but the halftrack to me is the iconic WW2 vehicle. The hole in the family budget started Apr 2006 with the purchase of my first halftrack, a M16 cab and chassis. This one ended up becoming a parts HT since everything was flat worn out. Next came a front cab off a M4 and then the frame from the M2.
First pic is of the M16 when first unloaded.

Ok, I'm having trouble with the pictures? I have reduced the JPG size, still unable to add.

Some more recent pictures of progress. Currently working on the cab armor and flooring. Rear armor sides should be in next couple of weeks.

Sorry Steve, no M16 data plates.

Did you fab your rear floor or is it an original?  It looks great.  Also, where are you located?

Hello Tom,
The rear floor is an original, appears to have been converted from M2 to M2A1. I'm located in Virginia between Richmond and Wash DC.
