Yep, I was leaning on it when it sold. New home is in Pennsylvania. $18,550.00 plus BP. Weasel brought 15,000. and the universal carrier came in at 17,000. Repro rail jeep went for 4,200. Armored jeep went for 5,000.

BP was 13% for check or cc. 10% for cash.

Nothing there was pristine by any stretch of the imagination. In my opinion the ht and universal carrier were low by a few thousand. Everything else was pretty close. Weasel went way high for what it was. (BTW if you bought the weasel, I bought some of the parts you need out back on the skids).

I bought the WC-54. Not a lot of rust, but will need a complete going through. Something messed up in the rear diff. Both axle shafts and the rear drive shaft were removed, and in the back of the vehicle. Not running (like most everything there). I bought so much of the misc parts I had to make 2 trips there this weekend to get every thing home.

Out of curiosity, did you see what the WLA with sidecar or the '23 Ford TT stake bed went for?

Didn't pay attention to the Ford. WLA if I remember correct went for about $19,000.00. It was probably the nicest piece there!

Auctions are so interesting, it would have been fun to be there. It sounds like there were some really good deals.

It was definitely fun to be there, but my bank account suffered.

The small civil war & gun related stuff inside I thought was going WAY high, and I was dealing with stuff outside when the misc military stuff was sold inside. Deals of the day IMO were the vehicle parts outside on skids. I talked yesterday to a guy who bought what looked like a skid of junk canvas ($30), and he said near the bottom of the pile was a brand new Beechwood jeep top. Also said he bought a skid of misc junk wire harnesses ($30?) to find about 40 new military style watertight spark plugs in boxes on the bottom. I bought one of the most expensive skids of parts ($400), a skid of misc. lights that just happened to have a pair of HT fender mounted head lights hiding in there (I knew it before I bid) along with a bunch of NOS M series lights along with other misc lights and light parts. There were also other HT parts scattered on other skids. Including 2 blackout head light brackets that are used on HT's with fender mounted head lights that I bought. I had the 8' box on the back of my 3/4 ton PU loaded so heavy with parts is was like riding home up hill all the way. :o The guy operating the forklift couldn't believe how many skids of parts I managed to cram in such a small space.

IMO most of the vehicles would have brought way more money if they had spent the time and got them running. When they don't run and haven't run in years you have to assume the worst.
