Kelly's Heroes

So-what was that halftrack on the movie Kelly's Heroes? What happened to it, anyone know?
They drove it thru a barn and even knocked down a telephone pole with it. Cool.

I gotta call BS on their claim it was in Kellys Heros. It's not an International.

I could be wrong but I thought the halftracks in Kelly's Heroes were International? I't been a while since I watched the movie. Guss I will have to watch it again.

 Yep,
IHC halftrack was the 75mm TD not sure about the personnel carrier in a couple scenes. But all vehicles were from greek army and I doubt the M4 in Hawaii has any connection to the movie. I read somewhere that Donald Sutherland got or tried to get one of the shermans.
For it's release date when most WW2 movies were using M-series vehicles I appreciated the attempt by movie officials to get this right.
I know the tigers were T34s a U.S. halftrack appears with mods to resemble the German halftrack and the BAR is a post war weapon. Oh yeah Kelly's mag pouch is for a MP40? been awhile. All in all only movie of the time to even try and get the authenticity right.
1941 White M2
1942 White M4A1 was M4
1942 Autocar M2A1
1942 Autocar M3-75
1943 White M13 rebuilt as M16
1943 Diamond T M3A1

Unless it was in the scene where they were waiting beside the road and all the equipment was rolling by, the main vehicles used by Kelly and his men were Internationals,I have this movie saved on DVR and watched it this afternoon since there was nothing else worth watching on,as usual!
