Rear U-Joint
« on: January 13, 2014, 09:06:47 AM »
Anyone replace their rear jackshaft u-joint. Manual shows a Spicer 5-16x Spicer but the cap diameter on that through Spicer is 1.875 and I think it should be 1.937.

Thanks Steve I really just need the cap diameter or the yoke hole size dimension. I have some u-joints that I am unsure of. I have several new drive-shaft assemblies but do not want to take them apart just to check this out.

Hello Kevin,
I pressed out a cap this morning and it measures 1.875. Hope this helps. Do you by chance have a replacement part number for this?

as many of you know gary goes after anyone trying to sell halftrack parts, thats why he is usually the only HT dealer posting parts on the G.
he posted his u-joints today on the G most likely because of this post.

so I'm posting this info in response to gary and not to undercut col.halftrack
