I recently acquired a 30/50 cradle with the long pintle thats used on the trolleys. I need the short pintle so i can mount it in the rear , anyone have a spare for the 30/50 cradle? Before I get asked, if i do get one I will put the long pintle up for sale, but not yet

Andy,
The short 30/50 cradle are extremely hard to find. I've been looking for a while and saw my first one this year but it wasn't for sale.
You can get an adapter from BMG Parts for your long 30/50 cradle and use it in the side sockets. That is what I did and works fine. I can get you photos if you like this weekend.

Andy,
I will get you measurements and photos this weekend. The adapter is easy to make. You will want to compare measurements to your cradle and socket for proper fit though.

Andy, sorry for the delay as I was sick for the last few weeks. Here are some photos and drawind of that adaptor. Two things to remember in making one of these is the ID of the adapter needs to fit your cradle so measure the upper portion of your cradle to make sure it fits. The same goes for the OD of the adaptor and the ID of the socket. Measure and adjust for proper fit. Mine id made of aluminum but I recomend you make it out of Steel.

Thanks Steve, You cut the length down on the shaft? Apart from the top bushing it looks like the shaft is almost the same size as the shorty pintle, did you notch it at the bottom so it will lock?

I did not cut the shaft on the cradle. Due to the long shaft length you can not use the lock. You can see the shaft protruding at the bottom of the socket.
