Post by: Tonypearson on September 01, 2014, 04:53:55 AM
Hi

Could anyone help I need the 4 studs that hold the king pin plate in place on the font axel as 3 of mine snapped off this weekend

Thanks

Hi Tony, if you can either get the number from the book, which should have the size, or pull one then take it down to your local nut and bolt house and give them a sample. That's what I did.

Don G.

I think the front and the back are 2 different lengths too

The top right are noted on pg209 of the Ord 9, g102-0206180. You can also try Mcmaster Carr but you would probably have to use the same thread pitch on both sides of the stud. I believe the bottoms are on pg208, g102-0306769.

Tony, I had a couple of minutes this afternoon so I pulled a top and bottom stud off my spare axle.

Here is the skinny on the studs:

Top: 1 15/16" long, 1/2" diameter, 1/2"-13 thread on one end 3/4"of thread, 1/2"-20 thread on the other end 7/8" of thread.

Bottom: 2 1/8" long, 1/2" diameter, 1/2"-13 thread on one end 3/4" of thread, 1/2"20 thread on the other end 1" of thread.

Hope this helps,
Steve
