here are some measurements for the battery cables, these are measured off original cables but you may want to leave the cable long and install the terminal end after installing your battery to get the fit you want. these lengths fit the original batteries which are equivalent to the 8D batteries sold today. put "8D battery" in a google search and you can find them for about $140.

Does the positive cable have a lug or flag. In the process of making one up. Thanks

FYI, My local car quest didn't have the loom in stock, and wouldn't order it in so I could by a 20' of each size so I ended up having to order 6- 100" rolls to get all the sizes I wanted. In the long run I will get it all used up on my other MV's.

Having to make a few wires that are missing from my Vintage Wiring of Maine complete harness since I can't get anyone to answer the phone or emails from Vintage Wiring...I think they've gone out of business.
Anyway, was going to make a set of battery cables while I'm at it. Has anyone made the cable from this info? Did they turn out well, or were there any modifications/changes to what Steve posted?

Yes, I made my own battery cables from this info and other stuff I have. Call me. I still might have the info where I got all the parts from.
