Title: frame reinforcement
Post by: beerman on September 21, 2015, 02:12:51 PM
Does anyone have any pictures of a halftrack frame that has ben reinforced. Someone got a little carried away with  a cutting torch, cutting some added brackets off of my frame. Right before the rear axle, where the frame start to turn up to go over the axle. I plan to add in the missing pieces to clean it up, but was thinking about adding some strapping or braces. . Its a M15A1 frame so it the double one. Wanted to know what others deem acceptable. Will try to post some pictures later tonight.

 Thanks, Jeff

Here are some photos I have from Don's halftrack when we shortened the frame.

Here is a picture of the area, someone cut into the frame with the cutting torch. I cut out the bad sections, and grafting in new piece and welding them in. Wanted to mow if I should add any more to brace and strengthen area. Thanks for the pictures of Don's frame.
