Just curious how much are tachometer going for and if there was a source

Any of the four gauges are getting very hard to find. I usually tell people each of the four gauges can fetch in the up words of $1000 each. With that said I do see the rare occasion of them selling much cheaper but is rare. Tachs and the volt gauge both are rarer than the gauges themselves. If you see a good one buy it. it could be a long time before you see another. In my opinion the dash can be one of the most expensive items to restore due to all the hard to find items, gauges, wiper motors, windshield frames and compass.

I got lucky and picked up a tach about 6 years ago and it cost me $300 at the time. Last one i saw on ebay was over $900 if i remember correctly. The cluster gauge i was able to build with parts picked up over a couple years for about $400. The volt gauge i couldn't find so i made my own. the speedo i also made. best of luck finding what you need.

I managed to pick up a couple tach cores, and I'm trying to make one good one out of them both. Good news is that the mechanism (from what I understand) is somewhat common for the era, but finding the face and body is harder to come up with. Buy what you can now, and cobble together what you can. If you find an extra tach face, please keep me in mind, I'm looking for one...

Not for the dash maybe on a quad? If you could get a part number

Someone was making new faceplates, but I can't remember who and I can't find any of the old posts...maybe someone else here will remember.
In the absence of a replacement tach face you could clean one up and use a decal, such as this:

I think it was the same person who reproduced the speedo faces. I was able to get one of those. The face I have is actually wrinkled and even has a hole in it. Bizal's speedo guy said it would take too much work to restore.
