Hey guys!
I am looking at my upper bumper for my leaf springs, and one side is a little higher than the other.
Does the higher end go towards the front or the rear, or does it make a difference?
I am thinking the higher end goes to the front, but wanted to ask folks smarter than me.
Also, my upper bumper has two holes in it. When I pulled it off the halftrack, it didn't have any rubber bumpers--is there a rubber bumper or something that goes on top?
Thanks!

This is mine before I removed it. Looks like the lower end is towards the front. Mine also did not have any bumpers in the two holes. I did see in one of the other recent posts someone that had two small black bumpers, not sure if that is original or not.

Well.....now that I go back and look, it was your HT that had the bumpers! lol, sorry. looks like you put them on high end to the front, should be low end forward.

Mine's also low to the front, no bumpers.

thanks for the feedback, guys!
I now have my next weekend project figured out! :-)
Will be reversing my top mounts for my U-bolts, then tightening everything down.
I appreciate you guys setting me straight--especially before I went too far down the deep end.
BTW, I found the rubber bumpers in McMaster-Carr--figured I would put something in there, 'just in case'.

kk,
Can you post the McMaster-Carr info for the rubber bumpers you found...for posterity? Thanks.

note that i had to shave a little bit of the insert and silicon it to get it into the bracket, but it ain't going anywhere now. :-)
