Hello everybody.
A question about tracks.
Anyway to tell who the OEM of my old NOS tracks is?
The only #'s I can find on them is FA72 on both tracks and 406 on one of them.
I’m working with a NC state inspector to try and get a title for my
half track and he wants to know who made the tracks.
Attached are a couple of shots of the only #'s I can find.
The FA72 repeats around the track.
I would assume the 406 is a mold/date/production marker.
The inspector has been great.
I hope I can get him the info he wants.
Thanks!!

Ther should be a round circle on the inside surface somewhere. This is the surface the bogies ride on. That should give you the name of the manufacturer. I'm curious why they need that info. It is a steel belted rubber track. Did he get the manufacturer of your front tires? Sounds a little overboard to me. Good luck!

Why in the world would he want to know that info? That sounds really odd to me. Anyway, hope you succeed!

Thanks for the help.
Not sure the inspector will like this info.
He's been very good to work with so trying my best to answer all his questions.
But I'm afraid he's looking for an OEM so he can ask if tracks are "DOT approved".
I would dare say....French tracks are probably NOT. ;)
But that's probably the same for any OEM....
I wouldn't think DOT approval was on their to-do list.
Oh well...
Thanks,
Keith
