First real working one I saw was at Kober's Junk Yard in Washington, NJ. That was back in the mid 70's and they had a wrecker attachment on the back. Always wondered what ever happened to it since Kober's is long gone.

Driving thru Kansas as a kid on the turnpike in the early 60's, saw several stripped down halftracks being used to move railroad grain cars at several grain silos along the way ..asked my dad if we could check one of them out, but it would have meant exiting the pike and driving back to find one .. not in the cards. I always wondered what appened to those tracks. Probably sold as scrap.
