Title: halftrack tail lights
Post by: steve-0 on April 13, 2011, 05:17:33 AM
a good source for tail lights is the dodge WC parts suppliers. weapon carriers used the same 12v lights. jeep ones will fit but they are 6v.
should be able to find them for $70 or less.

Make sure you ask first "are they 12 volt" WC lights. Some Dodge WCs used 6 volt lights till the end of the war, some like the Weapons Carrier went to 12 volt at the end of the war after the Carry All and command cars were dropped from production. My 1942 WC52 is 6 volts.

reproductions are available.
these may have different internals so you just use a regular bulb inside. the originals had a bulb that was also the lens as a unit this one includes the lenses so im not sure but i think its like the first pics in this link
