Has anyone found a modern bogie wheel hub seal?
-
Rich,
I looked and no one that I checked with could find a modern #. I ended up using the originals that were, in my opinion questionable even after soaking them in oil for about a month. Someone did find a single lipped seal but I cannot remember if it was here, on the G or SS.

I have installed some double lip seals in a couple of rollers on my M4A1. It will be a while until I can say how they work overtime. They run $13.00 from me the national seal number is 473458.

Thanks I will look into those. I am not giving up yet. I have a friend that works on heavy equipment and he deals with a parts guy that enjoys looking for hard to find parts. I am going to give my friend the remaining good original one that I have and see what happens.

Hi Kevin,
Have these seals worked out for you? Did you drill any holes to allow air to escape?

No issues that I know of. No drilling done.

Kevin,
Since these seals are thinner then the originals, did you press them up against the bearing or flush on the opening?
Thanks,
Paul
