Title: No Volt Meter?
Post by: judyron on December 20, 2013, 07:45:41 PM
Started working on my dash and pulling all parts out and noticed that my track does not have a volt meter.  Did not pay any attention before until I pulled off the smaller data tag and noticed the gauge hole behind the tag.  My track is a M2 rebuilt by E.W. Wyllie Co. to a M2A1, did all tracks get volt meters or was this something deleted in the rebuild?

My M3 had the volt meter removed. The cover plate covered the hole for the switch and the gauge hole. Mine was refurbed in the 50's. I think. Take a look at super tracks last post he has pictures of 4 dash boards not a volt meter an any of them.

The two half-tracks I parted out when I built mine both had covers where the voltmeter was supposed to be, they were both rebuilt by B&M, the only time you really needed a voltmeter is if you had a radio set.
