Title: Perimeter rail dia - and M2 locker door stud ? ?
Post by: Tom @ Snake River on January 20, 2014, 09:38:20 AM
I just to measure an M2 perimeter rail, but I forgot to get the thickness.
Is it 3/16" or 1/8" thick.

What do you do about the 1" stud that the M2 ammo locker door comes up over and you place the pin in it to secure ? ?

Thanks, Tom

Gary Hebding sells all that stuff plus the ammo locker doors use special hinges. The perimeter rail is 3/16" thick. I can take photos of mine if interested.

Here are some drawings and photos of the ammo locker latch. Red parts are original. Green is a reproduction.

I didn't realize that the top face of the door latch was milled down.
I assume that it shouldn't be a big deal to leave it full thickness as long as the stud is made to compensate.
What I could use is maybe a pic as to how the rear corners are done, along with how the perimeter rail ends up at the back of the cab on the "B" post.

I got my measurements from some original door latch plates, I made mine by welding two 1/4 plates together, much easier then milling it. Do you still need pictures of the perimeter rail?
