What do you do with halftrack?
« on: January 12, 2011, 10:11:53 PM »
I am wondering what do people use or plan to use their halftracks for?  I for one like to take mine out in the woods and off road to put it through its paces, along with other things.  I am curious if I am pretty much along or what.   You can vote up to five times and when I say Private collection, keep it to yourself and only show it to select people and never really put it on display.

My running one has to fall into the none of the above.  Its got a 30T winch and boom on the back, and I use it at work as a backup to my forklift.  Not too long ago it had to pick up a solid 10" round steel bar and drop it onto the saw.

My project (non-driving) halftrack is likely to become a camper.  The local lake lets you drive through the sand right up to the water.  So far the best trucks out there are deuces, I figure a HT will do even better...

im really not sure what im going to do with mine. there is an airport in the town of woodland near me that has some sort of WWII veterans thing once a year that i would like to take it to. other than that i wonder how a girl would react if i came to pick her up in an m16 halftrack.

I want to pick up my daughter from basketball or softball practice in mine. After all embarassing your high schoolers is a parents job.
