What was this bracket?

Can someone identify what this bracket use to be? It's welded (looks like my welding) to the vertical panel between the front seats. Thanks for any info.

That is what's left of a flashlight bracket. I'm still looking for one for my halftrack.

I first thought maybe it was for a fire extinguisher too. I didn't think about a flashlight, but that looks about right. If you come across any Steve, let me know. I'll do the same. Thank you guys!
