i have never heard it called a wasp wagon before.

 I have seen the term "wasp" associated with the M16B which was a field mod adding the M45 quad into the bed of M2s.

Is it just me or does the lower .50, lower ammo can and M45 front look like they were painted on to the picture?

Yes, and the angle of the lower ammo boxes are at different angles than tops. Did they have the technology to photoshop in those days LOL

yes, they manually photo shopped pics,, by coloring them in,, etc

I wonder if the first pic was originally an M13 they just doctored up to look like an M16. That's my guess, more than the guns look odd to me.
