Nice IH dash. Looks like cowl / firewall is where the two connect.

Door hinges back is G102 cab armor. See if the area forward of hinges is 5/16 thick, doors should be 1/4.

My guess is the windshield armor may not fit precise as G102 will work on G147 but not vice-versa due to thickness.

It was a bad joke about the scrapyard.  But that's the why we feel if it goes to the loggers.   Let's do this make offers you can't upset us. We just say yes or no.

I understand why these are so popular with logging company's, But wouldn't it be useless to them since there is no longer a supply of tracks for them?

Not sure what kind of loggers you would sell it to but out in the Northwest any halftracks that WERE used for logging are long since sitting in the bone pile. Even the gypo's have more modern equipment then that. Too slow, too hard to maneuver, lack of easily available parts. $14,000 to 17,000 you can find a 90's 450B case with a winch. Much better logging machine or a skidder.

That being said, as a interesting and rare version of the halftrack, you have something there. But it all comes down to parts availability and tracks!

He says they have 15K in it giving the impression that is the price, the ebay bid price is at 12100.00 and it says reserve has been met.  I think they could have saved the selling fee if they would have stated that price here.  Not sure if I am seeing it correctly but the second picture you can see a little bit of the passenger door and it almost looks like it has the angle cut on the lower rear side like an IHC should have.

Steve-O
Back in mid 1980s, I saw a complete M9 International at a military vehicle surplus dealers shop. He had just brought it in from Europe. He had it stored inside of his warehouse, very nice International, and it was the first and only one I have ever seen. Later, I went back and it was gone. The owner said he sold it to an estate that was going to use it for security at the estate. So, some where on an estate is a very complete International halftrack, I am hoping that it was never used and just sitting in a warehouse waiting for one of us to find her.

It says it's an M5, but it looks to be an M9 no ammo doors.

Wasn't the M5 the equivalent to the M2 and the M9 was the equivalent to the M-3? So if it's an M-5 shouldn't it have the ammo doors on the side and no rear door? Not that familiar with Internationals.

From what I have seen and looked at all the M9's had rear doors, they also had pulpit gun because (I believe) they were all A1 configuration.  The M5 did have the back door in both the base M5 and the M5A1, but don't remember seeing ammo boxes because the fuel tanks were in there place.
