JUST SCRAPED THE PAINT FROM OUR M2 FRAME RAIL. IT IS M2-44 WHICH DUPLICATES THE STAMPED DATA PLATE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IS THIS HALF TRACK ONE OF THE OLDEST? RICK CLEMENS CACTUS AIR FORCE WINGS AND WHEELS MUSEUM  CARSON CITY, NEVADA

not the oldest but up there I believe That number should be a auto car number the armor should have a keystone stamp instead of the Diebold box
Although Autocar had the first contract White was able to deliver faster so white was the first producer of M2 halftracks
