passenger seat tilt stop
« on: September 06, 2014, 05:33:27 PM »
On the passenger seat there is a lever that stops the seat from going too far forward. Does anyone have a pic of the bracket that it attaches to under the floor? I need to make one

Is this it? I was wondering what it was for.

Hi all,

I need one of these stays for my scout car commander's seat. Does anyone have a current source for a replacement one?
Cheers,

It looks pretty simple to make, what isnt is the lever between that bracket and seat.

Hi Andy

Yes, it is the whole thing I need.  It looks like an old window stay to me but my searches around demolition yards and house recycling yards have been without success so far.

I wondered if there was a modern equivalent available.
Cheers,

Do you need a pic of the lever? I have one not installed yet

here are some close ups. LMK if you need more measurements. I will be installing in the next few days though. There is a little push button to lock/unlock but in a pinch you could probably not bother with it if your making something yourself to work

Hi Andy

That's great.  Thanks for doing all of that. That will give me enough to have a go at making something up.
Cheers,
