Camshaft gear types

One of my engines has a steel camshaft gear, and another has a fiber gear. Which one is better?

Well i personally prefer the steel gears as when they wear out you just get poor operation where as fiber gears can strip and cause valve damage. I'm suprised that they even made a fiber gear for those. Interesting.
