Gentlemen: E-12, Eleanor was my father's halftrack in WWII. I am a military officer and OEF veteran. I named my M998 HMMWV in Afghanistan "Eleanor II" after my father's vehicle.

My family is assembling a video for my father for his 90th birthday, with family members from around the country contributing recorded greetings talking about how he influenced their lives.  I just stumbled across this post while doing a search to try to find a halftrack that I could use as a backdrop for my video greeting to my dad. I am in southeastern VA, but if I could somehow meet up with the owner of Eleanor in CT and record a short tribute to my dad while using her as a backdrop and wearing my deployment uniform, I think that would be memorable.

I am brand new here, and don't know how this works, but my email is James.k.cullen at gmail and I would appreciate any assistance in getting in touch with Eleanor's owner.

Thank you to all of you for what you do. Your preservation and restoration of these machines is a great honor and tribute to the amazing men who fought and died to preserve our freedom.

Much thanks,

Jim Cullen

So the CT chapter of the MVPA had a photo shoot this weekend.  I thought you guys might like to see some of the pics, even if they are not all halftracks

So after a little work over the winter we have a pulpit, ring mount, center seats, gun sockets, 30 and 50 gas guns and the smaller A1 ammo box.
Ready for some parades.
Thanks to all for the information and help.
Still looking for combat rims if anyone knows a good source.
