Speedo repairs
« on: December 11, 2014, 04:50:37 PM »
I have my speedometer apart right now and would like to get the odo/trip restored does anyone have any suggestions on who to use for this, I prefer to have the numbers on the dials painted instead of decals if anyone does that.
The magnet shaft was stuck, I got it moving w/some pb blaster. Has anyone removed this from the housing to lube it, It doesn't look like it will come apart unless I'm missing something.

There are gauge templates on the site here. Take them to some place that dose silk screening and see what they say. Every thing Ive seen on here points at getting decals rather than paint.

Bob's Speedometer restored mine and did a great job but decals were used on the trip meter.   The glass used was spot and the right convexity and thinkness.

My face plate is good I just need the odo and trip drums. I may have found the answer for those in another post by Don.

Now I have to see how much the magnet will loosen up, probably the old grease.

Thanks Gary
