He also makes the 2 5/8 concave glass for the tach also. You can order just the glass as the bezel he has is different. According to his ebay site he has instructions on how to install the  7"bezel. I'll find out as I'm ordering a set.

Nice to know the glass and bezel is good. Thanks

Just a note here (sorry about the double post) The 2 5/8 glass is too small for the tach.

I started to take the bezel off of my gauge cluster housing to clean the glass but didn't like the thought of all of those crimp marks.  I took it down to a local gauge place and the guy used a special tool.  He removed it for free....cleaned the glass and reinstalled the bezel.  No marks.

I've bought several of these, I've restored 2 1/2 gauge clusters so far. I'm starting on  a speedometer next.

i bought one of these and it doesn't fit.

the glass is about 3/16" in diameter to big and the bezel ring is twice as thick and way to stiff to crimp by hand.

i was able to trim down the glass with my sander (im surprised it didn't break) and i used an old bezel ring to make it work.

im sure a gauge shop can easily trim down the glass and has the tools to crimp that stiff ring.

Talked to John when I got mine. He said the rings are stainless and impossible to crimp.  He recommends using a 2 part epoxy.  It took me a couple try's but came out good

I've done a couple with his glass. I was very careful when pried the old bezel off. I then straightened it out and cleaned and painted it. I did make a new gasket. I crimped it back on with soft jawed pliers. I've done 3 of them now. Works pretty good.
