halftrack id needed

Found a hood number today, 4020293. See pics of bed. Steve1973 said it may be an M4 mortar carrier. However, if you look close it has holes drilled in a perfect circle, with a square hole, (for the turret lock?)

Hi Dan as was mentioned some pictures of  the frame underneath the bed would help.

What is the hole diameter?  By the look of your bed it's probably  in the m16 family better pictures of the lockers would help on that.

White never manufactured  the m15 halftrack
The square  hole is most likely wiring into the bottom of the turret ring

Unless it turns out to have the short frame I think it is one of the few M3's built by White then later rebuilt into an M16A1 in the 50's since it has that rear floor. The White M3's must have been sandwiched in that first batch of M4's.
