well normally that piece is flat, it goes behind the front armor, maybe a spacer, not sure, have only seen it on one other halftrack

It looks like the spacer between the front cross member and lower radiator armor plate. Some halftracks used this and some used washers.

Thanks, that explains why I had to add some spacers to get things to fit. You guys are amazing.

I plan on letting my daughters drive this to school when they are old enough, and although legally I didn’t have to put seat belts in, I didn’t want to argue with the Wife.

They won't have any trouble attracting the boys if they show up in a half-track!

Running great ! Had to change out that “economizer” valve in the carb. That woke it up !

No more large empty holes in the dash. Just need wipers now

Because I’m making it into a flatbed, I didn’t want large gas tanks cluttering up the bed. I bought a large tank to hide in the frame someplace, but then I decided to just put the side mounted Jerry cans to use. Each can is plumbed to the system and one has a fuel gauge in it. Each can has a shut off valve and each can delivers its gas out the top via a straw system ( no holes in bottom of can). Iv put about 100 miles on it pulling a drag box and exploring the local wash.
