Flag orientation

Hello,
Thinking about adding a couple of 48 star flags on my half track.
I'm planning on going with the "vintage" blue on the upper left on both sides.
But I had a couple of guys say I should do the "new" backwards flag on the left side of vehicle.

I think the "backwards" rule started in early 2000.

When doing a restoration, shouldn't we go with what was correct at that time?

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer here.  Do what you want, right?  I personally try to restore all my vehicles as close to the way they would have looked in their era.  As close as I feasibly can, anyway.  But others do it different, and that's ok too.

I agree with Corey. I try to make mine as authentic as I can, within reason and as safety sense dictates. Everyone has their own preferences though. It's your half-track and you should do whatever you prefer.
