Bad News - Fire

Hi guys, Some of you know but a lot of you don't so this is my latest adventure. This last Monday night, 9-7-20, I was evacuated from my home due to a fire started by a downed power line similar to the Paradise Fire in California. I had just enough time to leave work and go home to collect my Dad and two dogs. We are now living in a hotel for how long, I don't know. In the photo below the blue dot in the upper right is approximately my house. The shaded pink is the fire. this was two or three days ago.
The fire fighters are doing a great job protecting what homes they can. the fire is zero percent contained and approximately 144,000 acres. As of this map posting I have heard rumors that my house is ok. The house directly across the street from me had some spot fires on it's property. Directly behind my house is a canal then more high end houses. I was told these didn't fair well. Again all this is rumors. Communication sucks as far as getting concrete info but they are doing the best to save structures. I know Don is on standby with his bulldozer to help. I haven't heard if he has been called up yet. If so, Don, be safe my friend and thanks!!
I know some of you are waiting to hear back from me on some parts, the M2 Base Shop Data Book I sell and Mark, sorry, I didn't get the alignment tool out in time before the fire. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for your support.

Steve , God keep you and yours safe. If you need a place to stay please consider our home your home .. Its a bit of distance (OH) from CA but its really just a plane ride away (we can help with tickets if needed) but its much nicer that a hotel and we would be very happy to accommodate you and your father. Steve texted on Monday and he was still in a hotel. The fire was just 6% contained at that time. His house was good though, but he wasn't sure when they let him back in. I'm delighted his house was OK.

Things must be bad on the west coast as there are reports that the smoke is being seen over here in the UK.
