Parts Storage
« on: July 13, 2012, 11:30:57 PM »
After attending my first MVPA convention I ended up getting more than I planned on. Isn't that what happens at a place like that. ;)  By late morning I already had enough to go back home on a pallet. At that point I threw caution to the wind and started to really fill up the pallet. The one last thing that I almost bought but didn't was bogie wheels. Mine are fine so I didn't. Just over a week later my pallet of goodies arrives in Oregon and after unpacking I had no where to put the stuff. I decided to pick up another shelving for my shop. I've been using the ones at Costco. They hold 1,000 pounds per shelf and are stackable. This must be my lucky day. The shelving units were on sale $24 off the $62 original price!  ;D  That's almost half price. Once together I started filling the shelves and by the time I was done it was full. I think I will head back to Costco for at least one more set. Just wanted to pass this info along about the sale on the shelving. I think it lasts into early August. See photos below.

My other shelves I put up last year. I think I will add another set where the Chevy grill and sign is. That will give me some extra space for a little while at least.

Nice parts. I normally run out of money at the conventions before I run out of parts to buy.

BTW. I don't see Don's Ht in the photos. Does that mean it's done at your shop and headed home to be finished?

No, Don's is still at my shop. That last photo is an old one. I ended up leasing another shop next to mine that had just opened up. Running out of space to store stuff. ;D Now that Camp Gleason is over he can focus on his track again.

I know how that space thing goes.... I added 3200 sq ft to my shop last fall and I still can't get all my "stuff" inside.

Junk or (stuff) will expand to fill existing spaces.
If it casts a shadow it can be restored
