Just wondering if someone could confirm if these are of the same type / style of the originals fitted to the early model halftracks?

The early Ht's used the louvered lens, later ones used the cats eye lens. Base on the light should look like the top one with the pin behind the stud.

What year did they change from the early louvered lens to the later style cats eye lens?

I have a set of the early ones for sale if interested. You get four lights. Two are original early style with original lens. The louvers and blue lens that goes in them are poor reproductions. The bodies and lens ring are in good condition but need some work. The other two are NOS bodies, one is partially wrapped in cosmoline still, but for a Dodge WC I am told as the screw hole and mounting stud are clocked at an odd angle. These have reproduction cat eye lenses on them. I kept the original louvered lenses for my halftrack using reproduction bodies. If interested I want $300 for the lot. See photo below.
