Pedestal Headlight Bulb

Does anyone know of a source for pedestal light bulbs? It is a GE 1261 bulb. Not a common item anymore. I found out why my lights are so dim. The NOS pedestal lights I have are 24 volts not 12 volts so I need to find some 12 volt bulbs.

I purchased 12v bulbs that work great at tractor supply.

here is the 12 volt bulb
part number 4411

put headlight 4411 in a google search and you will find a bunch of them.

Thanks Steve for the info. Went out and got two 4411 bulbs and installed them. Getting that retaining ring back in was a real pain in the butt. Job is done and what a difference having the correct bulbs make.

How did you guys wire these?
The original bulbs had one connection with the positive to the back of the lamp and the negative to the retaining ring.
The new 4411 bulbs have two connections on the back of the lamp.
I tried positive to one and negative to the other and nothing?

Check and make sure you have a good ground. Do a continuity check and see if you have a complete circuit.

That's not the problem, I just don't know what to do with the two connections on back of the new bulbs as compared to the one connection on the original ones?

You hook the positive wire to one screw. And use a short jumper wire on the other screw and go to ground.

Looks like the original bulb only has one screw connection because the rear of the bulb has a tab that grounds directly to the ring or housing instead of a second wire.
