Ok Gang,
First time poster here, I don't have a halftrack yet, but I am working on acquiring one as we speak.
But I wanted some input on this, There was an auction today in NM and what was left of a halftrack with a crane on the back went across the block. From what I understand, The frame had been butchered and extended, and a lot of the rear bogie system had been welded to the frame to help handle the weight of the crane. So I wasn't that interested in anything except the roller and doors anyway. What made it interesting was the data plate. It said T19. I wasn't there, but it went for $600!!!! Does the fact that it was a T19 make it more valuable, regardless of condition? If I need to I might could track down who bought it..... and I will see if I can get some pics.
