My real job crossed paths with my hobby this week
« on: October 15, 2015, 06:21:11 PM »
My real job crossed paths with my hobby this week. A friend of mine needed to move his DUKW from the rented building he had it in to his (new to him) pole barn.

No front axle wheel ends, no engine, and no transmission/ transfercase. So forklift it was.

That's a heck of a forklift!  Cool pics.

The forklift tires are 1200x20 solid rubber. It will pick 40,000# as seen, 55,000# if I add the counter weights.

It was a fun job, my whole crew had fun doing it, and everyone took pics to show their family what we did that day.
