Halftrack pintle brackets
« on: November 23, 2016, 09:06:22 PM »
The M2 converted to A1 used a different bracket than original built A1s (I think). Converted M2s had a 4 bolt brackets that matched the skate rail holes http://www.bmgparts.com/products/htbracket.jpg and the A1 (had 2 bolt brackets http://www.milweb.net/webverts/65690/ . The bolt pattern is a different spacing, I can weld up the 2 bolt brackets and redrill but would rather buy 4 bolt if any one makes them (not going to buy them from BMG parts). Any one know a source for them?

I have 2 hole brackets for $35 dollars each plus shipping and 3 can ship for $15. I don't know of anyone who make the 4 hole bracket, but you might check with superjeep to see if he does.

I am sure the brackets I have came from you Steve. Is the 2 bolt bracket spacing suppsed to match the M2 armor? These do not, the diagonal distance is greater on these brackets.

Sorry, I do not have any experience with the M2 4 bolt pattern. The ones I sell match the M3 two bolt hole spacing.

Got the brackets fixed up, one hole lines up so welded up the other and drilled the 3  new holes to make 4 bolt brackets. Was easy and didn't take too long. Thanks
