Then and Now Automotive
Weymouth, Mass

They sell kits with all new mfg components so the new fuels don't eat them.

I received my kit the other day from Then and Now Automotive. Very nice people to work with. The Stromberg kits are not inexpensive compared to kits for other carburetors (glad the half track only has one – my '41 Buick had 2 of them!). The kit has plenty of parts for various versions of the AAV Stromberg. USA-made, no less! Carburetor is all happy again and as soon as I get the fuel pump squared away, will run some gas through it. Thanks again Steve.

Which Then And Now Automotive carb repairkit have you used? I sent them inquiry while ago, and they have a kit for fuelpump (kit number FPA70), but they couldn't find one for Stromberg carb. The partnumbers that i gave them should be right, they're from manual.

Thanks.

Mikko.

The kit they sent me was their P/N MIS 2001 for Stromberg AAV-2. Hope this helps.

Mikko - if you also need a fuel pump kit, Kevin Lockwood/col.halftrack has kits at a good price made with modern materials for current gas.

Then and now also has a rebuilding service. That is what I did. Here is a link to my post. http://halftrackinfo.com/index.php?topic=1401.0 I'm very pleased with their work.

Just had it confirmed by Daytona Parts, they supply the service kits to 'Then and Now', that the correct kit number is as Jon stated2001.

Why not send the carb and fuel pump in and have Then and Now rebuild them for you. That is what I did. They came back like new. The cost was $230ish for the carb and the fuel pump was $135ish. I forgot the invoice to give an accurate price but this is close. Shipping was $16 for a large flat rate box. This was a few years ago. Still great prices.

I rebuilt my fuel pump,  took 15 minutes with the kit then and now provided me. I saved alot of money doing it myself plus got it done quicker.  I can't justify paying other people to do the work I can do myself if I can do it .

Plus you don't have to pay shipping both ways, which is a big consideration anymore.
