engine over- haul

Hello all. My engine that came with the project i just got is in poor shape,think i am gonna have to have it bored out and go wth over-size pistons.The good news it has never been bored out before, thinking i could go back with standard pistons,but if i am gonna have to buy new ,why not bore it out and do it right.I would like to talk to anyone that has overhauled one of these engines and get some advice,and if you know of a good source to get internal engine parts.i got the engine manuel on cd,but does any of you have the specs on the engines anywhere else.

i did some research on engine parts a while back and wasn't able to locate any sources other than halftrack parts dealers. i even searched the  classic truck sites to see what the people that where restoring white trucks where using and they where also getting it from halftrack parts dealers. there is alot of fairly new stuff on the market that was made for Israel's halftracks.
since as far as i know there are no other sources than halftrack dealers i would recommend trying http://www.libertyengineeringservices.com/th.htm
they are overseas but even with the exchange rate and shipping you are likely to get a better price.

if anyone knows of an auto parts supply type place that sells parts for the white engine let us know.
