Lead sudsitute
« on: May 28, 2023, 04:05:52 AM »
Anyone run a lead sudsitute in their engine. I tried some motor medic in mine and have had problems idling after warming up and running a couple of miles , very rough idle and will eventually stall. Hoping the problem will go away after I burn though the rest of the tank.

I don't think our low compression/low horsepower engines really need it. I do run about 15% mix of kerosene in my '41 M2A1 to lower the octane of the non-ethanol gas a bit. Both my half track and my '55 M38A1 Jeep seem to like that mix.

I wish there was someplace close to get ethanol free fuel around here have to drive about 60 or 70 miles to get it.
