drivers seat bolting and adjustment
« on: March 17, 2014, 01:41:07 PM »
So looking at my drivers seat I noticed two things. The seat was only bolted with the 2 front holes, although the tracks have 6 total. I looked at the floor and there seems to be no other holes. Did the drivers seat get held down with 6 bolts? Also, there is no provision for locking the seat in position. The lever under the seat is there, but nothing on the floor for it to engage?

Andy,
My seat is held down with 4 bolts. There might be two more in the centers that are not currently used. I can't remember. Anyway there is another plate that engages with the seat adjuster. See photo.

Is your floor plate original or one that someone has made? The other plate that is missing Rod Shaver may have. I usually see one at his table for sale at shows.

If I remember right Rod Shaver was selling the brackets on eBay about a  year ago. You may want to contact him to see if he has any more.
