WWII tank explosion near Bend, Oregon - two dead
« on: October 27, 2015, 09:33:23 PM »
I just found this out as I was getting ready for work tonight. A WWII tank was at a gun range and their was a mis-fire followed by an explosion. The two crew members in the tank were killed. One of the crew and owner of the tank is Steve Preston. My thoughts and prayers goes out the Steve and the other crew member's family. Below is a link to a news article on the accident.

I had just seen Steve on Friday, bought a 5 ton from him. Can't hardly process this. The MV community lost a great one. Prayers to his family.

Too bad, any more info on what went wrong, have to assume they were firing the main gun, gonna be hard to figure out with the only two witnesses dead.
