Pair of M3A1 Scout Cars for sale (SOLD)
« on: November 15, 2012, 01:43:22 PM »
Well the time has come to lighten the load. I have a very nice pair of rust free western scout cars for sale. They are located in Florida now. First is a total ground up restoration. This one took 20 years to build using NOS parts. Some of the rear armor is repro. The skate rail is original. Everything works, lights, voltmeter, sending units. It comes with an all steel repro .50 and an all steel 1917A1 .30 and tripods for each. 4 trolleys are included in this package along with one .50 cradle and one 1917a1 cradle. This is an early lot 5, one of the earliest known lot 5 survivors. 12 nos original rear bucket seats. Less than 200 miles on totally rebuilt motor.

Second scout car is an unrestored runner with all original armor except the upper door flaps. Repro skate rail. Roller is cut off but included. I drove it on the trailer but have not started it in a couple of years. It is stored inside.

Both cars have the original data plates.

75k for the pair, will seperate.  Contact info: Clint 352-483-2432

Wow, that's a good price :) Scout car would be a fun restoration now that I'm doing a halftrack and know a little more about them. Can't believe your selling them.

Wish I had the bucks  :( Good luck

Thanks Don. I can't believe it either. I'm going to be putting up my M20 for sale soon also and maybe a halftrack. Lots of reasons but I've decided to sell most of my collection and concentrate on other stuff.

Congrat's Clint I'm sure someone is very happy! Hope your not going to get completely out of the military vehicle field? But understand that things change. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. That goes for everyone on the board ;D

Thanks Don, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and all the guys and girls out here in halftrack land. I'm not leaving the hobby just downsizing. After 17 years on the same job its being offshored. It looks like I can transfer to another division but I decided now was the time to pay off the mortgage and leave myself more options for future employment. The good news is I still have 5 pieces of ww2 armor left to play with and slowly sell off before i start to drool on myself. Might travel to the dark side one day and get one of those little jeep things I hear people talk about.

Clint,

Sorry to see the Scout cars go, the one you restored is very nice and rode like a Cadillac ;D. It's good to see that you're keeping some armor.
