I get my brake parts from this place in Minnesota. They had the master cylinder on the shelf. I am also going to have them rebuild the hydrovac. They do alot of the work in house. if they cannot fix it they send it to someone who can. I asked and they are familiar with older military vehicles.  It is called the Brake and equipment warehouse.

here are the part numbers to search on ebay or google
there are some raybestos and cardone on ebay now.

Raybestos MC661 and wagner F661 is the correct 1 1/2" bore

we are checking the following
Raybestos MC681 has a 1 1/4" bore which may work better if you are not running power brakes.

Just be aware that most of the cylinders listed are rebuilt. I have sold rebuilt parts for years and while they are cheaper you sometimes go through a couple getting a good one. I have new or rebuilt cylinders $60.00 new or $30.00 rblt BUT just as summit shows; you need to send in a core or pay a core charge for the rebuilt unit.

1942 Autocar M3-75
1943 White M13 rebuilt as M16

Kevin
thanks for correction on the best price.
i removed the "cheapest" word from the above post.

you are in the links/dealers section under Parts inc and i have edited your description to include brake master cylinders.
also if you would like to start a post in the parts for sale section listing all your parts i can link it with your dealer section listing so people can click on that and it would go to your parts for sale. you could then just edit your post any time with new parts.

Depending on the condition of your old master cylinder you may need these fittings as well:

banjo union:  Brakequip BQ63
banjo bolt:  Brakequip BQ8097
copper washer:  Brakequip 1320

Dale
MVPA 17456
1952 M37
1970 M35A2
1943 Diamond-T M3A1 under restoration

Just a heads up here. I'm not sure what the OEM HT master cylinder specs are but here is what I have found.

The master cylinder that came off of our M16A1 HT, maybe they vary depending on projected vehicle load, or maybe some one replaced it with the wrong one 20 years ago, is a 1.5" bore.

The unit I ordered from the part number sheet provided on the eBay "don't buy this" ad and the number above, is 1.25"

So, I'm going to give it a try, worst case I guess we don't get enough fluid and the pedal travels to the end and I find a 1.5" alternative, Best case scenario I'll have 30% more brake power and might be able to skip the booster.

 :o :o

you are correct. i made a mistake here.

the original is 1.5 bore.
i am also going to be installing the 1.25 one i listed with a hydrovac so we will see how it goes.
if you are not running a hyrovac the 1.25 may be the best option.

i have updated the above with the correct 1 1/2 inch bore

i really appreciate you letting us know

this was posted before we really got the hang of tracking down these parts and then i just kept using that number.

wagner still uses the same part number.
