i have just seen one that came out of there and the frame was rusted so bad there where holes through it, but from the pics on the site you cant tell.
second there are more, better and cheaper halftracks here on the west cost and they get much less rust damage.
i still have about 10 halftracks in that shape , i could sell you one or im sure other members have them.
its an interesting project
i have seen a few done like that.
you can legally drive these on the road but one thing that hasn't been mentioned on the SS site is these have the worst blind spots of anything, you can put on side mirrors but its still a hazard on the roads. you should sit in one and see.
