M2 Halftrack Base Shop Data Book For Sale

Hello everyone. I'm proud to announce the release of a new halftrack manual never before available. Thanks to Mike Spradlin I was able to borrow and scan this manual and put it into print form for sale. This book is 600 pages of step by step how to instructions and diagrams on how to do almost everything on a halftrack. This book was put out by the Rock Island Arsenal in December 1942 for the British Army. If you have seen the Base Shop Data Book for the M3A1 Scoutcar then you know what this book is all about.

I'm still in the process of putting the first 20 books together and they will be available at Tower Park for purchase. The price will be posted later this week when the books are finished. Here are some sample pages below.

Just got the final prices in from the printer. The books will be $100.00 each. I pick the books up tomorrow and will try and post more photos then. The book is 2 inches thick printed on good quality paper, better than the original. Their was a lot that went into getting this book done and think you will enjoy it. This book, to me, is like a backyard mechanic's book. Everything is described in detail with lots of drawings. for example, the electrical section for wiring it shows pictures of each component with the wires running between them. It also give the wire gauge and length of wire. The manual shows how to test each gauge and it's placement on the dash. Detail info and testing of the heater unit. Their are over 70 sections in this manual. Some are one page where as others are more. Their is a lot of info that is not included in the basic set of manuals out today. This would make a great addition or a good start, must have for your restoration. This is not meant to replace the other manuals but a great addition to them.
