My M16A2 data plate ...

Lots of changes were done during rebuild in 7-52.  Rear Door Installed and 2 storage boxes added on back of track.  Additional turret ring 12" installed so guns could be used in the ground mode, fold down armor bolted up in the corners as it was no longer needed with the extra foot of height under the turret armor.  Jump seats in back of track were bolted to fuel tank shields for the cannoneers so they no longer had to sit on the floor cushions.  A Packard slip ring was installed under the turret to service both the new BC606 intercom system and the additional charging circuit (via a steel flexible conduit under the track that ran to the track battery) that was added to the MAXSON M45F Turret via a switch box on the left hand side of the gunners seat.  Headlight bracket split into two and one set moved behind the driver on the rear compartment rail and the other bracket set was installed between the fuel tank and the carbine bracket.  Original M16 bracket sat on the rear wall.  When the door was added, the bracket was split and moved to the two locations.

Steve the ordinance stamp / cartouche is in the same spot on Dons plate as it is on mine ..its just very worn.  .. Note, BM stamped the Vehicle USA numbers on the front bumpers of M16 rebuilds.  Mine was stamped in two places on the right hand side of the track bumper.
